Talinum paniculatum. a.k.a. Fameflower or pink baby's breath. Purslane relative with elegant panicles of  lovely pink flowers. Mild leaves are succulent, light green, and eye-catching. Great in salads, on sandwiches, and as a spinach substitute. Also has medicinal uses as a diuretic, healing, emollient, vulval and anti-infective,. The seedstalks are attractive in dried arrangements - seedpods dry down through shades of orange, red, brown, gold, and grey. 2-3 ft. tall plants can reach 3 ft. wide in good soil. Grows in sun or part shade and tolerates poor soil.  Annual in temperate areas but may perennialize in  zones 8 and up. Self-sows readily and a great naturalizer! 1/4-1/2tsp per packet.
